A display of collages by Pablo Echaurren, son of the Surrealist painter Sebastian Matta, were exhibited in 2014.
Dating from 1995 - 2012, these works reflected the artist’s fascination with cartoon imagery, and incorporated fragments taken from the Futurist and Dadaist publications of which Echaurren is an avid collector. They constitute a homage to the vitality of the Modernist avant-garde, while simultaneously re-imagining one of its most emblematic genres.
